Company culture

We believe that by adopting the following culture, we can accomplish anything we set out to:

1. Commitment. Even if an endeavor isn't in our best interest in the short-term, we stick it out with the long-term in mind. Startups have ups and downs, and we move past the downs, knowing that our grit will have the final word. We believe that by doubling the amount of time we spend on a goal, we will reach it twice as fast.

2. Growth. Our growth as a company depends on the growth of each person on our team. We provide opportunities to learn new skills and improve upon existing ones whenever possible. We want to build our people so that they could leave, but don't want to.

3. Maximization. Excellence, not average, is our measure. Taking something from below to slightly above average takes a great deal of effort and in our opinion is not very rewarding. Transforming something from strong to amazing takes just as much effort but is much more thrilling.

4. Velocity. Information flows freely and rapidly. Given two paths offering seemingly identical quality, we choose the fastest. We never want a lack of speed to be the reason we can't maximize every aspect of the business.

5. Trust. Our presumption is that each person on our team is putting in their best effort. Whenever bugs or issues arise, we work together as a team to resolve them. This trust fosters universal accountability and allows us to laser focus on our mission.

6. Initiative. We have a sense of ownership over our collective work and take action whenever we notice a problem or area of improvement. While we independently take initiatives, we ensure their success by collaborating with others and in turn help with their own. We have a bias for action and if a day passes without some form of achievement, no matter how small, we feel dissatisfied.

7. Informality. There is no rigid structure and everyone is free to be themselves. We trust others to do their part without monitoring. We will always function like a startup throughout future stages of growth.

If you are an applicant, please include all of the above points in your submission.
